You won’t believe what you can do
For the past two years, Barkers has been working with the Scottish Executive promoting its volunteering campaign, ‘You won’t believe what you can do’.
The campaign shows potential volunteers the benefits they can receive from volunteering, whether it’s having fun, learning new skills, getting fit or doing something that is important to them.
With advertising limited to a two-month period at the beginning of each year, PR had an important role to play in raising awareness of the Scottish Executive’s campaign.
Barkers developed a media campaign aimed at regional and local media, using a combination of creative news releases and features, as well as profiles from our target audience.
During the first year of the campaign, over two million people in Scotland were reached over a four-month period, providing the Scottish Executive with a return of investment of 6:1.
