Sharon Lyons
Account Executive
Sharon joined Barkers in 2005 after graduating from Glasgow Caledonian University where she gained a BA Honours degree in Mass Media and Communications.
Since joining the team Sharon has worked on a wide range of clients, including the Scottish Executive’s “You won’t believe what you can do” volunteering campaign and Enterprise in Education. She is also involved with media relations activity for Young Person’s Concessionary Travel.
Sharon was part of the Barker’s team that worked on the PR campaign for the Scottish Safety Camera Partnership. The campaign won the Silver Award for “Best Use of Media Relations” in the 2006 CIPR PRide Awards.
In the private sector Sharon has experience in crisis management with Thomas Tunnock Ltd and in event management for the recent 30th anniversary reunion for DEC.
Sharon is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.
